Simple Dagger

I saw a left over piece of wood that I had from cutting out the Crow Axe, and it reminded me of a dagger. So I thought I would take some time to cut it out and see how it turned out.

Initially, I had wanted to leave the tail on because then you could use it to hook onto thing. I accidentally broke it off while sanding though.

After cleaning it up, I decided to try out aluminum tape for the first time, and see how it came out. Overall, I really liked it. It gives a nice metallic sheen, and when you distress it with some steel wool and a steel brush, it really blends together well.

Looking at it now, I maybe should have made the blade longer, as it’s more handle than blade. But there’s always next time.
