My name is Joe Hansen, and I’m the Program Director at Hickory Cove Bible camp.

I grew up coming to Hickory Cove for years as a camper and volunteering during the summers. I looked forward to coming back every summer because not only did I have a great time, but I also matured as a person and as a Christian here. I was given more responsibility as I continued to come. I worked in just about every area of camp; counseling, the kitchen, maintenance, programs and activities, AV, and even a little speaking.  It was during this time that I realized that some of the most growth in your life happens not when you’re being served, but when you serve.

After I graduated from college, I came on staff here full time to hopefully help Hickory cove continue to be as impact for other people as it was for me. As a staff here, our goal is to have this place be a haven for people to become spiritually mature Christians.
